Looking Ahead to '16

As we ring in the new year, the team at Justin Youngquist is in preparation mode as the 2016 kicks off in less than three short months at the Yakima Valley Sprint Car Challenge on April 1 & 2, 2016. The event marks the first two races for the 56 team on their 2016 schedule, and is the opening weekend for the Summer Thunder Sprint Series.

Youngquist looks to improve on his 2015 results with the Summer Thunder Series where he ended the year 17th in final championship standings after competing in six of 11 total series events. He posted his best finish in the series on night one of the Summer Nationals at Skagit Speedway on July 24, 2015 after leading 23 of 25 laps and finishing 2nd.

Now with sights set on the 2016 season, a new Triple X Race Co sprint car is on its way and is scheduled to be

completed before the April 1 opener in Yakima, WA.

"Last year was my first time racing at Yakima," said driver Justin Youngquist. "There was definitely a learning curve because the track went rubber down pretty early in the night, which I've never had a chance to race on prior to that night.

"I think [2016] will be better for us since I have some laps at the track and have an idea of what to expect," he said.
